Our Lake LA4-200 Buccaneer is a 4 place amphibian aircraft. With the landing gear down it can use hard surface and grass runways. When the landing gear is up, that's when the real fun begins. Most pilots think the seaplane rating is the most fun rating they have ever done. No knowlege test is required, just lots of fun flying and getting to know the aircraft. Most of the training is take-offs and landings. After all, when the aircraft is in the air, it flys like most any other aircraft.
Wings Air Charter LLC offers an accelerated 2-3 day Seaplane rating. We have economical pilot rates at several nearby motels with restaurants in the building or just a short walk away. We have several bodies of water within minutes of the airport so that you can maximize your training time while experiencing all types of water conditions. The average training time is 6 to 10 hours depending on your skill level. After your training is complete, you will fly with a local pilot examiner for your checkride.
