Lake Seaplane Instruction

Fly like you've never flown before! Your first water landing is an experience you will never forget. Whether you take one lesson just for the fun of it, do your biennial flight review, or add a single-engine sea rating to your ticket, this will be the most fun you've had in an airplane.

Our Lake LA4-200 Buccaneer is a 4 place amphibian aircraft. With the landing gear down it can use hard surface and grass runways. When the landing gear is up, that's when the real fun begins. Most seaplane pilots think the seaplane rating is the most fun rating they have ever done. No knowlege test is required, just lots of fun flying and getting to know the aircraft. Most of the training is take-offs and landings. After all, when the aircraft is in the air, it flys like most any other aircraft.

Wings Air Charter LLC will be offering an accelerated 2-3 day Seaplane rating starting the Spring of 2013. We have economical pilot rates at several nearby motels that have restaurants in the building or just a short walk away. We have several bodies of water within minutes of the airport so that you can maximize your training time while experiencing all types of water conditions. The average training time is 6 to 10 hours depending on your skill level. After your training is complete, you will fly with a local pilot examiner for your checkride. Call us at 715-424-3737 to schedule your training slot today.
